Lupin profit up by 40%
Pharmaceutical company, Lupin on Wednesday reported a 40.18 per cent increase in its net profit. As per the recently announced results, the profit of the company has become Rs. 220.62 crore for the fourth quarter of last year that ended on March 31. This rise has been calculated over the last year period.
The total income of the company also increased during the period. It increased from Rs. 1,069 crore during last year to touch Rs. 1,338.6 crore, for the Q4 period. This information was revealed in the report submitted by Lupin to the BSE.
Talking about the strong growth of the company, MD Kamal K Sharma said that Lupin has shown strong growth and has outperformed the sector.
Meanwhile, in its total revenue, 11 per cent was contributed by its Japanese subsidiary, Lyowa. Its revenue has grown by 21 per cent for the yearly period.
Lupin's South African subsidiary showed a growth figure of 57 per cent.
For the full year, the net profit of the company was Rs. 681.6 crore. This is 35.91 per cent higher than the profit that it reported last year.
Post the declaration, shares of the company went up by 5 per cent.
