LulzSec claims website for bringing down CIA website Online hacker group, LulzSec has claimed responsibility for taking down the CIA’s Web site for a few hours.

The move comes after a series of breaches by the group of different business organizations. LulzSec, which dubs itself “the world’s leaders in high-quality entertainment at your expense,” posted an alert on Micro blogging site, Twitter: “Tango down — cia. gov — for the lulz.”

The CIA’s site was restored by 8 p. m, however, the fact the hackers were able to breach the site’s systems and harvest system administrators’ credentials outlines the risks to the data stored online.

LulzSec has already claimed responsibility for hacking the system’s of PBS, Sony, the U. S. Senate and the Atlanta chapter of InfraGard, which is an FBI associate venture.

CIA spokeswoman Marie Harf said the agency is “looking into these reports.”
