Loop Telecom rolls out telecom services in Karnataka, Kerala
Loop Telecom, a subsidiary of Loop Mobile, has launched GSM services in Karnataka and Kerala after successfully launching telecom services in Tamil Nadu and Orissa, in line with its plans to launch pan-India services. The service launched under brand 'Loop Mobile' is likely to cover the entire region after its commercial launch in the respective telecom circles within next couple of months.
Loop Telecom CEO, Sanjeev Chachondia said: "We have successfully launched our services in Tamil Nadu and Orissa and now are present in Karnataka and Kerala too. The network is performing well and we have received an encouraging response from the select group of people testing the network."
Loop Telecom, previously known as BPL Mobiles, has been awarded the license to rollout GSM services across 21 telecom circles of the country by the department of telecommunication (DoT).
It has already signed a deal with telecom infrastructure provider, ZTE to set up the required telecom infrastructure in the region. The company, a pioneer in the telecom space, is also in touch with other firms for bandwidth sharing and towers' installation.
