Sydney, Oct 5 (ANI): A new poll has placed London as the best city for public transport for the second year running.

International respondents to a poll by holiday review site TripAdvisor voted London's transport system the most efficient.

The British capital also topped the poll for having the safest public transport, best subway and the best taxis.

The city stood the fourth in the cleanest transport network category, behind Washington DC, Tokyo and Paris

There was one negative outcome of the survey however, as London transport was considered the most expensive in the world.

New York had the second best transport system, plus was voted the second most expensive city for public transport.

Los Angeles came out as having the worst public transport system.

“It's proof that even when it comes to riding a bus or a subway, you get what you pay for,” News.com.au quoted Michelle Perry, TripAdvisor communications director, as saying.
