Limited edition of Porsche 911 Sport Classic
Frankfurt - Sports car manufacturer Porsche unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) a limited edition of a 911 Sport Classic featuring numerous exclusive extras and a powerful 3.8-litre power unit with an output of 408 hp.
With a production run of only 250 units the 911 Sport Classic is aimed at the small segment of 911 fans with the buying power of 201,682 euros (296,431 dollars), double that of the standard Porsche Carrera S.
The fixed rear spoiler is a reminder of the legendary Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 which was first unveiled in 1973 and went on to win numerous victories on the race track. The modern version comes with a special PASM sport chassis lowered by 20 mm and ceramic brakes. The special edition sets itself apart with a special sport classic grey paintwork and 19-inch black wheels.
Developed by the Porsche Exclusive department over a three year period, the Sport Classic is available only with manual six-gear transmission. (dpa)
