Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim found dead in her Dubai apartment
Dubai - Lebanese singer Suzan Tamim was found murdered in her Dubai apartment, with her murderer still unknown, media reports said Wednesday.
The 33-year-old singer was last seen at 1 am on Sunday. She returned home in the company of some friends, the London-based Al- Hyatt newspaper reported.
Loud noises were heard from her apartment shortly after.
When officials broke into her apartment they found the singer's corpse on the floor with her head detached from her body.
Dubai police sources declined to give further details saying that investigation is still underway.
Eight months ago Tamim moved from Cairo to live in Dubai. Pan-Arab newspaper Al-Sharq al-Awasat reported that her move was caused by her strained relationship with her second husband Adel Matouk, who is a prominent Lebanese producer.
After their marriage in the year 2000, Matouk took over the handling of Tamim's singing career by producing her album "Sakin."
People close to her reported that she was in a relationship with an Egyptian man, according to the Al-Sharq al-Awasat account. (dpa)
