The politicians from Louisiana are very curious for the defense of the oil and gas industry. They are asking Washington to restart the offshore drilling now.

Meanwhile they are not happy on BP over the Gulf of Mexico issue. The state officials have also warned the Obama administration for the temporary ban on drilling in the accident area. They have requested to lift the ban as it could lead the most lucrative industry of Louisiana towards a death spiral.

According to the leaders the drilling is over. It is all safe and nothing to worry for that. They have also said that the ban is a knee-jerk reaction to the disaster. They have said that it is not wise to ground all the planes because of a single air crash.

The Attorney General of Louisiana, Mr. Buddy Caldwell has said not to finish them totally by implementing this ban. He has also discussed the issue with the US president Mr. Barack Obama.
