The World leader in memory products, Kingston Technology Company has launched a special limited edition of “2 GB DataTraveler thumb drive (DT 101).”

The limited edition DataTraveler 101 is inspired by the Chinese Zodiac, and has a rat and Chinese characters, "Wu-Zi" that represent the year 2008.

In China, the year of rat signifies a year of hope, cleverness, and brightness. So, the DataTraveler 101 is colored with a Golden rat, supposed to wash away the tears and sorrows of the year that was, and bring good luck and peace in the year that is, an official release said.

The USB drive is fully compliant with high-speed USB 2.0 specifications, which makes the transfer of files and documents fast and convenient. It is only available in APAC region during this Chinese holiday season in limited supply.

The 2GB drive includes password protection software as bonus, the DT 101 Limited Edition is the perfect solution for storing image files and documents, Malhotra added.

The DataTraveler 101 comes with 5 years of warranty and available in India at a price of Rs. 1200.

The device is available from Kingston's Indian distributors, Avnet India, HCL, Ingram Micro, Kobian Electronics and Transtek Infoways.
