Karbonn Rolls Out K560, K460 Multimedia Handsets In India

Karbonn MobilesKarbonn Mobiles, the Indian joint venture between Jaina & United Telelinks, has made announcement about the launching of two new handsets including K560 and K460 in the Indian market.

The newly launched phones are targeted at entry level customers seeking features rich multimedia handsets at an affordable price.

The Karbonn K560, which is a dual SIM phone, has a touchscreen display along with other goodies. The phone has a personalized music interface together with a Wolfson Audio Codec on the MP3 player.

With a screen size of 2.4", the handset has dimensions of 113mmx51mmx10.95mm. Other features of the phone include a FM Radio, Video recording, Video Player, 2 mega pixel camera, A2DP Bluetooth support, and GPRS/MMS/WAP.

The phone is available at a price of Rs 5000.

Karbonn K460 is another bar-styled Dual LCD mobile phone that boasts of a 300 hour standby time. The phone, which is specifically designed for users who want a device having a long battery life, comes packed with a FM Radio, multimedia player with equalizer, voice recorder, VGA camera, Bluetooth, Mobile Tracker, GPRS/WAP/MMS, 1000 Phonebook Capacity, and expandable memory up to 2GB (Micro SD). It is priced at around Rs 4000.

The company also said that it aimed to grab 7 to 10% share of India's multimedia phone division.

While talking to media persons, Mr. Pradeep Jain, Karbonn Managing director, told that they have decided to make an investment of around Rs 100 crore during the existing fiscal to set up operations and push the sales.
