Jordan's king arrives in Baghdad, holds talks with al-Maliki
Amman - Jordan's King Abdullah II arrived in Baghdad Monday in the first visit to Iraq by an Arab head of state since the downfall of the former regime of President Saddam Hussein in 2003, official Jordanian news agency Petra said in a brief statement.
During the surprise visit, King Abdullah held talks with the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and Vice President Adel Abdul Mehdi, the agency added without going into details. (dpa)
