Jayalalithaa launches Rs 1,854 worth of projects in SrirangamJ Jayalalithaa, the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu has launched a host of development projects worth a whooping Rs 1,854 in the Srirangam area in the state.

She also laid the foundation stone for several projects valued at Rs 1,752 crore. She said that an industrial park will be set up on a 1,077 acre land in the Manapparai zone with an investment of  Rs 107 crore to boost the industrial development in the area, which is her home constituency.

"My government has been taking efforts based on the concept of promoting humanity and enhancing the state's infrastructure facilities which will make the state achieves an all-round-development", she said at the event to launch the projects.

She added that the government will be able to attract an investment of about Rs 3,000 crore through the textile part in the area and provide employment opportunities to as many as upto 25,000 people boosting the local market. She added that the government would offer a subsidy of between Rs 45 lakh and Rs 2.25 crore depending upon the level of investment by the private sector companies.
