Infosys watches inwards, to start 2 centers in Bangalore
After getting clearance from the Karnataka government on Monday, the IT giant, Infosys Technologies has declared that it will start two new centers in Bangalore.
These will deal with the software development part and will require an investment of Rs. 2,950 crore, which the company is going to do very soon.
Talking about the project, Major Industries Minister Murugesh R. Nirani said, "The state high level clearance committee cleared the investment proposals of Infosys to set up two development centres at Sarjapur in southeast suburb and another at Devanahalli in northwest suburb near the international airport."
Talking about it, T V Mohandas Pai, Director, Infosys said to IANS that the company has asked for the clearance from the government and now that it has got it, they will soon start begin with the work.
This is part of the inward expansion plan of the company and now in addition to overseas expansion it is also doing so in India.
The main software and corporate headquarter of Infosys is situated in Bangalore itself. And the Sarjapur will be the second largest facility of the company.
The centers will be built on 365 acres of land, which has already been acquired.
