This was expressed by the Indian Ambassador in the UAE, Talmiz Ahamad, and other speakers attending a condolence meeting organised last night by the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi at the Indian Social and Cultural Centre to pay homage to the people who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attack in Mumbai, India.

The speakers at the meeting, representing various Indian associations in the UAE and eminent personalities of Indian community in the UAE, condemned the indiscriminate killing of innocent people saying the terrorist represent no religion and should stand together to weed out such heinous crime against humanity.

Terrorists, carrying AK 47 assault rifles, grenades and heavy loads of munitions, attacked several places in India's financial capital of Mumbai on November 27, including the city's two landmark hotels, the Taj Mahal Palace, the Oberoi Trident and other places including a hospital and railway station.

The incident is the worst ever terror attack in India, and perhaps also in the world killing about 200 persons including foreign nationals and injuring at least 300 more.

Indian commandos succeeded in ending the 60 hour seize by killing all but one terrorists and releasing the hostages safely. (WAM/AL WAM/Latheef/TF)
