India Will Soon Become Permanent Member in UN Council
The chance is getting brighter in becoming a permanent member in UN Security Council as per the statement of Union Finance Minister, Pranab Mukharjee. According to him, India will take participation into UN Security Council as a permanent member after the expansion of UN office.
India will be elected to hold the prestigious portfolio in UN Security Council to gain power for vetoing during emergency. UN Security Council needs to extended and enlarged to house the representatives of many more countries which directly and indirectly participate into various diplomatic issues to speed up the progression and all round development.
Shivshankar Menon is considered to be a National Security advisor to guide Indian representatives to solve various issues. He has told reporters that the country will soon give its views and opinions independently as a permanent member to reshape the decision taken by UN Security Council members.
He has further pointed out that the reforms within UN Security Council office are taking place for inviting new members to keep glued to the seats in UN Council permanently. India will represent Asian continent as well. India will be held in high esteem for participating into various diplomatic programs at UN Council.
