HTC to launch Butterfly X920e in China soonTaiwanese smartphone maker, HTC is planning to launch its new HTC Butterfly smartphone model in the Chinese markets in the coming weeks.

HTC had launched the J Butterfly smartphone in the Japanese market in October and later released the device in the US as Droid DNA. The company is now aiming to launch the devices as HTC Butterfly in the coming weeks in the growing Chinese market. The Butterfly X920e is very similar to the J Butterfly model and will be launched in partnership with China Unicom (WCDMA). The device will also be available without contract for about $700 USD.

The smartphone features 5-inch HD LCD 3 1080p display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor. It comes with a 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage space and a 2020mAh battery for extended battery life. The device will be available in brown, red, and white colors in the Chinese market. The handset has dimensions of 143 x 71 x 9.1mm and a weight of 140 grams.

Meanwhile, the company will also launch two Windows Phone 8 handsets: the 8X and the 8S. Both handset in association with China Unicom (WCDMA), China Telecom (CDMA2000) and China Mobile (TD-SCDMA).
