Health Ministry makes Swine flu vaccines available in states
The Union Health Ministry has geared up in its war against Swine flu. The latest buzz confirms that the ministry has started dispatching units of the vaccine across various states of the country. The first ones to get are the health workers who are 'the most exposed' individuals against the disease.
The imported units, which hail from the international pharmaceutical company Sanofi Pasteur will be in circulation from today and will initiate from the nodal centres in Mumbai and Delhi.
With a hope to cure maximum individuals, Mumbai region undertook the responsibility of southern states and distributed close to 80,400 doses to Andhra Pradesh, 15,000 to Goa, 45,600 to Kerala, 20,000 to Tamil Nadu, 23,700 to Madhya Pradesh and 1,24,200 to Karnataka till yesterday night.
On the other hand, Delhi, which takes care of the mid-east portion supplied 65,300 doses to West Bengal, 27,000 to Bihar, 17,000 to Chattisgarh and 2,400 and 1,600 to CRPF and BSF respectively. These reports were confirmed by an official at the Health Ministry.
