HCL to invest Rs 50 crore on rebranding

HCL InfosystemsHCL Infosystems, leading IT major, has decided to pump Rs 50 crore over the coming 2-3 years.

The company is making the proposed investment for re-branding its laptops as well as netbooks series under 'ME' brand.

The sources informed that HCL will put up its laptops and netbooks for sale under the 'ME' brand replacing the previous 'MiLeap' series of portable products.

The sources further informed that the conglomerate is eyeing at increasing its present 7% share to 20% over the coming 2-3 years. The new range includes seven models and can be availed in a price range between Rs 19,000-65,000.
