In the wake of her red carpet performance, reigning Mrs Australia Kylie Tsiafogiannis has defended cricket WAG Haley Bracken over her choice of dress.

Bracken, a NSW finalist was praised by Tsiafogiannis for this year's contest, for taking the effort to design her own threads.

The Courier Mail quoted Tsiafogiannis as saying,'' The media gave her absolute hell for that dress she wore and I thought she looked fantastic.''

She further added,'' She designed it herself, she used her initiative, was a bit creative and instead of being congratulated, she got grief and I think that was appalling.''

Mrs Australia final will in Melbourne in July and Bracken is apparently mulling over her plans to wear the eye-catching gown at the final. (With Input from Agencies)
