GSS America Infotech acquires US IT infrastructure firm
GSS America Infotech Ltd, in a bid to increase its presence in United States, has announced to acquire a U. S.-based IT firm engaged in infrastructure domain since several years. The move, already approved by the Board of Directors of the Company on June 20, 2009, may result to generate significant revenue for the company due to increased cross selling opportunities with the already existing clients.
The company will become a fully "Virtual Enterprise" solutions provider to Global Businesses solution company following the acquisition. It has also decided to divest its complete professional services business unit worth US $10 Million to Ajel Technologies Ltd. GSS will take about 17 lakh shares as strategic investment in Ajel Technologies Ltd, ensuring employee relationships with the firm as per its filing before the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, its move for Strategic Investment and divestment of Business is yet to be approved by shareholders.
Meanwhile, the board of directors of GSS America has approved the resignation of K Vasudeva Rao as Director of the firm from June 01, 2009. Also, L V Prasad has asked to join in the board as additional director with immediate effect.
