Ampere Vehicles, the electric mobility (e-mobility) division of Greaves Cotton Limited, has announced the launch of a new program called ‘Green Restart’ that has specifically been designed the accelerate mass adoption of EVs. Founded in 2008, Ampere is celebrating its 13th Anniversary, and the just launched ‘Green Restart’ program is part of its commemoration of its birth anniversary.

According to the company’s claims, its electric scooters are facilitating a sustainable ecosystem as they are being extensively used for essential services, such as home deliveries of essential goods.

A spokesperson for the company attributed the company fast-growing presence in B2B and B2C segments to a number of factors, including its products’ great performance and higher savings over petrol-powered alternatives, and the comfortable ride they offer.

Speaking on the topic, the spokesperson said, “We have a fast-growing presence in both B2B & B2C segments. This has been possible owing to superior functional performance, higher savings over petrol scooters, great ride and drive comfort, easy to use and charge, and robust aftermarket support in the mass mobility domain.”

Over the past years, the e-mobility company has tapped multiple new segments in last mile logistics, ride sharing, and rental bikes. The spokesperson noted that its products and services have usage in diverse applications by the micro-entrepreneurs as the government continues to encourage individuals and entities to switch from conventional ICEs to environment-friendly EVs.

At present, Ampere has a product portfolio of half a dozen electric two-wheelers: the Ampere Zeal, Ampere Reo, Ampere Reo-Lite, Ampere V and Ampere M. with starting prices of just around $550, the company e-mobility products are quite pocket-friendly. The recently launched Magnus Pro Ampere is also steadily growing in the EV segment of the large Indian market of two-wheelers.

The use of electric two-wheelers has been on the rise, particularly after the onset of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, as more people started to opt for personal mobility solutions. Companies like Ampere’s parent firm Greaves Cotton are happy with the increasing demand for e-mobility solutions as the trend is not only boosting their profits but also decreasing their carbon footprint. Greaves E-mobility has more than 330 outlets spread across 251 towns and cities in India.
