Grandma fights for ‘toxic sofa’ recompense

Grandma-toxic-sofaA grandma who was left in despair was claimed in agony after buying a "toxic sofa" seemingly is aimed to finally offer payment.

Anne Glover, released from Blackrod, who was suffering from a nasty rash and weeping sores coming over her body after sleeping on either side of the sofas she purchased from Land of Leather at Middlebrook four years ago.

Her grand-daughter Amelia, who was aged nine months at the time, also comes with a rash after being revamped on the settee.

But Mrs Glover offers no notion as the chemical in the sofa offering the discomfort and was imposed to an allergic reaction to washing powder.

She later read to find that the toxic sofas and the company was removed but never got her money back.

Mrs Glover has surveyed without any sofas for the last three years because she can't have substitute furniture.

She said: "It's never been about the money. Because I'm disabled I can't always get upstairs so I used to sleep sometimes on the sofa."

Her need is being part of a 408-strong class action against Zurich insurance firm.
