Google working on a patch to address Nexus banInternet giant, Google has said that it is working on a patch to address the issue that led to a ban on U. S. sales of its Galaxy Nexus phone.

An appeal by Samsung to delay the ban on sale of the smartphone was turned down by a federal judge as Apple ups its fight against the South Korean electronics giant. U. S. District Judge Lucy Koh did not accept the Samsung’s request to stay her June 29 order while the company pursues an appeal.

Samsung “has not raised a substantial question of invalidity” of the patents at issue in a dispute with Apple Inc. The court is not persuaded that Samsung has raised a substantial question or shown a likelihood of prevailing on the merits of its invalidity arguments on appeal,” Koh said in the new order in San Jose, California.

The technology rivals have engaged in a worldwide patent way against each other. The two companies are engaged in an intense legal war around the world over patent infringements. Apple, based in Cupertino, California, and Samsung have been locked in patent disputes concerning mobile technology and design since April 2011.
