Gigabyte introduces its “GA-GC230D motherboard” in India
The computer hardware manufacturer best known for its motherboards, Gigabyte Technology yesterday introduced the GA-GC230D motherboard equipped with the Intel Atom 230 processor motherboard technology, in India. The Taipei, Taiwan based Gigabyte announced that the GA-GC230D motherboard will be distributed by Neoteric Informatique, in India.
According to Gigabyte, the GA-GC230D motherboard is specifically designed for the users looking for affordable hardware with lower power consumption. The GA-GC230D motherboard features the latest Intel 45nm Atom 230 processor, an Intel 945GC Express Chipset with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 graphics.
The latest Intel 45nm Atom 230 processor, enhanced with all solid capacitors design, results in lower power consumption. The Atom 230, equipped with an onboard CPU and an Intel chipset, makes the new Gigabyte motherboard best choice for home users, students, or price conscious people, and for core entry level operations.
The Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 helps fetching quicker graphics processing and enhanced memory bandwidth to offer richer visual quality and colors without requiring extra discrete graphics cards. Additionally, the GA-GC230D motherboard also features a PCI Express x16 graphics port, Serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports.
Gigabyte reported that the GA-GC230D motherboard is developed according to the European Union's Restriction of usage of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive, calling for restricting the usage of lead, mercury, cadmium and other hazardous substances in electronic products.
Gigabyte stated that the GA-GC230D motherboard, priced at Rs 3,999, will be made available across by Neoteric Infomatique Ltd, through its 36 locations and more than 7500 partners.
