Gigabyte announces GV-R487D5-1GD graphics card in India
Gigabyte has announced its latest GV-R487D5-1GD graphics card in India. The novel graphics card is built on the ATI Radeon HD 4870 GPU and features 1GB/256-bit high-speed GDDR5 video memory for super-fast performance for applications and 3D games.
Furthermore, technologies like the native DisplayPort connectivity, TeraScale graphics engine, ATI CrossFireXT support, Unified Video Decoder 2 (UVD 2) and the ATI PowerPlayT power management technology form as the other essential features of the GV-R487D5-1GD graphics card.
DirectX 10.1 graphics capabilities along with compatibility for Shader Model 4.1 for realistic graphics are also offered by the novel graphics card.
The graphics card can also enable decoding processing-intensive content for 1080p HDTV and HD video via the support for UVD2.
Moreover, dynamic contrast and enhanced DVD upscaling is also supported by it and has the ability of Blu-ray functionality with dual-stream, picture-in-picture (PIP) and one-cable HDMIT connectivity.
In order to support higher resolutions, richer color depth, and increased refresh rate performance, the new generation DisplayPort interface lets the card deliver 10.8 GBps of bandwidth.
One more advantage of the GV-R487D5-1GD is that it consumes low-power with the help of its Ultra Durable 2 design and ATI PowerPlayT technology and is 100 percent RoHS compliant.
However, there have been no announcements on the pricing details and availability of the card.
