Liver transplant patients at increased cancer riskWashington, Nov 4: People who have undergone liver transplants are at a greater risk of developing non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and colorectal cancer, say researchers.

A new Canadian study led by Ying Jiang of the Public Health Agency of Canada has shown that liver transplant recipients have higher cancer risk than the general population.

Moreover liver transplant patients were at an approximate twenty-fold increased risk of developing non-Hodgkin''s lymphoma.

The results raise the possibility that an environmental trigger for autism may be associated with precipitation and may affect genetically vulnerable children.

Sheep with two heads born in Middle East!London, Nov 4 : A sheep has given birth to twin lambs at a refugee camp in the Middle East – one of which is born with two heads.

Although one of the twins is normal, the two-headed sheep has been branded a ‘holy lamb’ by its owner, who said the lamb’s birth is ‘God’s Will’.

"This year the sheep gave birth to twins. The first one was a normal lamb and with the second lamb the legs came out first. Then suddenly we saw two heads. That is God''s will,” The Telegraph quoted the owner Mohammed Moussab, as saying.

Two communist rebels killed in fighting in eastern Philippines Manila - Two communist rebels were killed in a clash with government troops in an eastern Philippine province, an army spokesman said Tuesday.

Colonel Romeo Brawner said six other guerrillas were injured when soldiers raided their encampment in Las Navas town in Northern Samar province, 510 kilometres south-east of Manila.

Brawner said government troops seized the rebel camp which consisted of 30 bunkers and four thatched huts.
