Corus To Cut 400 JobsTata-owned steel giant Corus has decided to axe 400 jobs at its distribution unit due to global economic downturn.

The proposed job cuts will be spread across United Kingdom, comprising 100 in the West Midlands, around 100 in North Wales, 50 in South Wales and 50 in Leeds.

The company stated that its distribution business had been operating in an unstable and irregular market since the start of the year.

The mysterious craft and the flashing beams were recorded on the mobile phones of Shellie Williams, 20, and her mum Betty, 53.

The duo also caught the red and white vertical beams, which were not visible to the naked eye.

For care worker Shellie, who watched from outside her home in nearby Hartcliffe, it was a very eerie incident.

The result came to be known after an online poll of 10,000 people was conducted - and it revealed that 92 percent reckon that they''re being bullied at work.

Fifty six percent believe that it is a serious problem in their office, shop or factory, the study found.

Japan Airlines' quarterly operating profit, revenues down

Japan AirlinesTokyo - Japan Airlines Corp saw its operating profit and revenues fall in the July-September quarter on high fuel prices and slowing demand for air travel amid the global economic downturn and lowered its earnings projections for the year.

Operating profit dropped 60 per cent from the same quarter a year ago to 26.31 billion yen (268.47 million dollars), and revenues were also down 6.7 per cent to 583.26 billion yen.

But net profit more than tripled in the second quarter of the fiscal year, thanks to gains from securities sales.
