Islamabad, Nov 14 : Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has reportedly said that the US must inform his country about carrying out strikes on tribal areas in Pakistan’s territory, or allow Pakistan itself to strike against the terrorists.

“The new US administration must allow us to have the capability of doing more. We want to do more. It''s our war,” cbsnews. com quoted him as saying in an exclusive interview.

Karachi, Nov 14 : Kidnappers of prominent Pakistani filmmaker and distributor Satish Anand have reportedly demanded one million pounds for his release.

Anand was kidnapped from Karachi on October 20.

His family claimed to have two phone calls, one traced to Quetta and the other to Bannu, asking them to deposit the money in an Egyptian bank account.

Kathmandu  - Nepal's former royal family has sought a waiver to avoid millions of rupees in unpaid electricity bills following threats to cut off their power supply, officials said Friday.

Utility officials said former king Gyanendra's daughter, nieces and nephews wrote to the government seeking the waiver for unpaid bills up to May when the country abolished monarchy and declared itself a republic.

Jakarta  - Flash floods and landslides swept through residential areas in Indonesia's West Java province, burying alive at least 15 people and injuring 25 others, officials and media reports said Friday.

The disaster took place on Thursday evening following hours of torrential rains that inundated or damaged hundreds of homes and caused landslides in the villages of Nyalindung and Cikondang in Cianjur district, about 100 kilometers south of Jakarta.
