Tehran urges Obama to make real "change" in US policy toward IranTehran  - Tehran on Monday called on US president-elect Barack Obama to reject the hostile policies adopted by previous US administrations against Iran and instead implement his "change" slogan.

"The previous US policies, including carrots and sticks and incentives, are unacceptable, futile and have de facto failed," Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Ghashghavi told reporters in Tehran.

"We went to the polls on the development ground with honesty and unity, and people have voted for that," said the 77-year-old leader said.

A study conducted by the out going Bush administration, reveals that the military aid provided to Pakistan by US to root out militant groups from its territory has been largely wasted.

“The $10 billion in military aid provided to Pakistan as ‘reimbursement’ for its efforts to root out militant groups has been ‘largely wasted’, reports David Sanger of New York Times.

According to Ktla. com, Disneyland officials have fired the four actors, following worries that young women were flashing the swashbuckling actors late at night.

"They lost control when they saw Jack Sparrow," the Daily Telegraph quoted former pirate Brandon Pinto, who left the role after a dispute with management a year ago as saying.

Nintendo signs deal with HarperCollins for Shakespeare, Dickens books

NintendoLondon, Dec 8 : Japanese video games company Nintendo is signing a deal with publisher HarperCollins to make literary classics available to read on its DS portable games consoles.

The deal has been made on the 100 Classic Book Collection, which ranges from Shakespeare and Dickens to Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters, priced at 20 pounds and will initially be available only in Britain.

The technology allows readers to turn the pages by brushing a finger across the screen, doing away with books.
