Networth Stock Broking has suggested a strong resistance for NSE Nifty in 3000-3100 range. US Stock markets ended positive and Asian markets are expected to open strong on Monday. Indian Stock markets may also open with a wide upward gap on Monday.

As per figures from exchange, stocks worth Rs 4.5 crore were sold by FII in cash market on Friday. Domestic Institutional investors sold stocks worth Rs 184 crore in cash market.

Network Stock Broking analysts believe 2510 and 2492 as a strong support level for NSE Nifty.

Nokia and Verizon Wireless made announcement about the launching of their latest mobile device, named ‘Nokia 2605 Mirage’.

Targeting young generation and fashion-conscious users, the new clamshell phone has dimensions of 3.22 x 1.65 x 0.62 inches with a weight of just 2.32 oz.

The Nokia 2605 comes with a 1.8 inch internal display screen with 262K colors and 128 x 160 pixels, a 1.2 inch external display with 65K colors and 128 x 128 pixels, a VGA resolution camera with video recording capability and dedicated buttons.  

Indian Stock Markets opened strong on Monday as the government announced fiscal stimulus package of Rs 20k crore. Among major gainers during first 30 minutes of trading session were ICICI Bank, DLF, Idea Cellular, Grasim and SAIL. At 10.30 am, NSE Nifty was up by 87 points while BSE Sensex was up by 300 points.

Among other gainers were, Reliance Industries (up by Rs 26 at 1143), Satyam Computers (up by Rs 5.6 at 231), Unitech (up by Rs 2.5 at 33.3).

Technical Analyst Sudarshan Sukhani belives that the stock markets may remain bearish for next couple of months.

Islamabad/New Delhi, Dec. 8 : Pakistan and India have reportedly agreed to suspend their composite dialogue in the wake of the November 26 Mumbai attacks.

Diplomatic sources told the Daily Times on Sunday that “India believes that Pakistan-based elements are involved in the Mumbai attacks and is in no mood to talk to Pakistan until its concerns are adequately and timely addressed.”

Islamabad, Dec. 8 : The Pakistan Government has said that it will respond to the Indian Government’s second demarche on what actions the former proposes to take vis-à-vis the Mumbai terror strikes in a few days.

India is expecting the response on Monday, but authorities in Islamabad have indicated that it could take some more days before a response is forwarded.

Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir and Indian High Commissioner Satyabrata Pal met on Saturday, and at that time, there was an indication that a response would be forthcoming on Monday.

Beijing - China on Monday protested sharply against a meeting on the weekend between French President Nicolas Sarkozy and the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama.

The meeting, which took place at the sidelines of a conference in Poland, triggered Chinese outrage and heated protests in online forums, as well as calls to boycott French goods.

Deputy Foreign Minister He Yafei summoned the French Ambassador to China, Herve Ladsous, delivering a strong protest, the official Xinhua news agency said.
