Report: Serbian police searches for war criminals

Belgrade - Serbian police Friday launched a second raid in a week in the so far futile search for war crime fugitives, the private Beta news agency said.

Police were checking several locations in Arandjelovac, a town 50 kilometres south of Belgrade, Beta said, quoting the Serbian war crimes prosecutor's office.

A week ago, commandos raided the Belgrade home of the top war crime suspect Ratko Mladic's son, after storming a factory in western Serbia last month.

The arrest of Ratko Mladic, the Bosnian Serb wartime military chief, is a crucial condition for Serbia's closer ties with the European Union.

Edward Van Tassel’s lawyer Robert Landheer said that the 28-year-old was carrying a book written by the late Bruce Lee and a handwritten letter, imploring Cruise to help in the fight for veterans'' rights.

While writing on his blog, the Fall Out Boy bassist insists that he and his pop star partner have been offered "mounds and mounds of money by mags from here to Guam to pimp out the baby".

But they have decided not to pose for magazine photos with Bronx for the time being.

Chavan, Bhujbal meet PM, discuss Maharashtra security scenario

Ashok ChavanNew Delhi, Dec 12 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and Deputy CM Chhagan Bhujbal met Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh here today and reportedly discussed the security scenario in Maharashtra.

Talking to reporters, Chavan said that they briefed Dr Singh about the measures taken to strengthen security in the state in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks.

They also sought more central assistance for police reforms in the state, he added.

This was Chavan first visit to New Delhi after becoming Chief Minister on December 8.

Chavan is also scheduled to visit his hometown Nanded and Nagpur on Sunday.
