Taliban kill three ''US spies'' in NW Pakistan

PakistanMiranshah, Dec. 28 : Taliban militants have killed three men in Pakistan's North Waziristan Agency, suspecting them to be United States spies.

A body was recovered in the Miranshah Bazaar with a Taliban note claiming that the man was a US spy, and a cassette in which he made his confession, would be made public soon.

Two more bodies were found killed in a similar manner near Khesu Khel Pul, 24 kilometres east of Mirali tehsil of Miranshah.

Similar notes were recovered on the bodies saying; those spying for the US forces would be treated in a similar manner.

Transport was thrown out of gear as air, rail and road traffic were badly affected by the poor visibility levels early in the morning.

The visibility levels at the Indira Gandhi International Airport dropped much below the minimum required levels.

Those waiting for the flights were seen reading books and standing around bonfires to beat the cold.

‘Sunburn’ Music Fest Stopped For Noise Pollution‘Sunburn Goa 08’, the Asia's biggest musical beach party started on Saturday with conditional permission at Candolim beach, was stopped mid way on Sunday for breaking noise pollution norms.

The three-day Sunburn 2008 music beach festival had abrupt ending when the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) issued an order canceling the conditional NOC issued to the organizers of the festival.

North Goa Additional Collector Swapnil Nail said, “The festival was stopped at around 8.15 pm based on GSPCB report which cited violation of noise pollution levels.”

Boat sinks on Indonesia's Java Sea kills at least 10Jakarta - At least 10 people were killed, 17 survived and an unspecific others were believed to be missing after a small boat capsized off Indonesia's main island of Java on Monday morning, officials said.

The accident took place at about 10:00 am (0300 GMT) when a small wooden boat packed with around 30 people overturned in the Java Sea off the northern coast of central Java district of Pemalang, about 300 kilometres east of Jakarta, police and health officials said.
