Special court orders medical test to determine Kasab’s ageMumbai, Apr 24: A special court on Friday ordered an inquiry to determine the age of Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab, the only survivour attacker of Mumbai terror attacks, by April 28.

The court’s order came after Kasab claimed to have been a minor at the time of Mumbai carnage.

Judge M. L. Tahiliyani said a radiologist and a forensic dentist would examine Kasab. Tahiliyani has also allowed special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam to examine witnesses comprising doctors and jailor.

An agreement reached by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and an industry group - the Association of Estonian Information Technology and Telecommunications Companies - promises to turn the entire country into a super-high speed internet hotspot by means of a project called EstWin.

 Two more Africans die on way to Spain Ceuta  - Two more African would-be immigrants have died while attempting to cross to Spain, police said Friday in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta on the Moroccan coast.

The bodies of the victims were found floating in the water at about 9 kilometres north-east of Ceuta late Thursday.

Autopsies showed the men, who were between 20 and 25 years old, died of hypothermia.

The victims wore life vests, which led police to conclude that they had tried to swim into Ceuta or had been on board a vessel smuggling migrants to mainland Spain.

Hypertension, diabetes linked to carotid artery wall thicknessWashington, Apr 24 : Researchers from A. O. U. in Cagliari Sardegna, Italy have found a link between increased carotid artery wall thickness (CAWT) - which can cause heart attack and stroke- and diabetes and hypertension.

During the study, the researchers looked at 186 patients with the help of multidetector row CT and sought to determine association between CAWT is associated with cardiovascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia and a history of smoking.
