London, Jan 4 : Lindsay Lohan's father has launched another attack on the actress' girlfriend Samantha Ronson, calling her "a parasite".

Speaking exclusively to the News of the World, Michael - who has spoken of his disapproval of the pair's lesbian relationship in the past - has claimed that the DJ would not let his 22-year-old offspring visit her family over the festive period.

And also called Ronson a "parasite" who is a bad influence.

He said: "I was prompted to do this by people who know the truth and were tired of people slamming me for standing up for what is right.

One million live in poverty in wealthy Hong Kong, Democrats claim

Hong Kong - Hong Kong has the greatest rich-poor divide of any developed country with more than 1 million people living in relative poverty, a party political leader claimed Sunday.

Democratic Party leader Albert Ho called the divide between the rich and poor in the wealthy city of 6.9 million "an embarrassment to our society" and called on Hong Kong leader Donald Tsang to act.

"The government has made it an article of faith and told all of us to believe in the 'trickle-down effect' in the market economy," Ho said on state-run radio.

London, Jan 4 : If you thought true love was something just restricted to movies and soaps, then here's a piece of information: brain scans have revealed that couples can respond with as much passion after 20 years as most people exhibit only in the first flush of love.

Shakespeare once said that "love is an ever-fixed mark / That looks on tempests and is never shaken". Now, it seems, he was telling the truth, at least that's what researchers at Stony Brook University in New York think.

Scanning the brains of people who have been together for 20 years, the scientists found that about one in 10 couples still display elements of "limerence", the psychologists' term for the obsessive behaviour of new lovers.
