India-based Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd has made announcement that the company along with its arm, has got first U.S. Food and Drug Administration sanction to market the generic version of a controlled substance in tablet form.
According to sources, the company is allowed to sell generic hydrocodone bitartate with acetaminophen in multiple strengths, which has a U.S. market size of $540 million for branded and generic versions.

According to the UK researchers, the effects of traumatic stress can be reduced by playing the computer puzzle game Tetris. The PLoS One journal reported that volunteers were exposed to distressing images, with some given the game to play 30 minutes later.

The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has been allotted 210 acres of land on the University of Hyderabad campus, by the Andhra Pradesh Government, for setting up its second campus in the country.

Following a three month run, the Mumbai Police was finally able to arrest an MBBS doctor from Pune, a member of the Indian Mujaheedin (IM) module responsible for at least 11 blasts across the country since 2005. The accused is named Dr. Anwar Ali Bagwan and is 26 years old. IM was responsible for the July 11 2006 serial train blasts in Mumbai and serial blasts in Ahmedabad on July 26, 2008.

In a letter written by Raju to the board, he gave details of the balance sheet. It was astonishing to note that the sheet had inflated cash balances of Rs 5040 crore and accrued interest of Rs 376 crore, which in fact is non-existent. Furthermore, Rs 1230 crore was arranged to Satyam and has not been reflected in the books.
