New York, Dec 12 : With New Year round the corner, it's that time of the year when D-list celebrities make a few bucks by offering to host New Year''s Eve parties, however, this year round, making moolah in such a fashion would be tough - all thanks to recession.

Hilton and her sister Nicky are reportedly hosting the Bongo Virus New Year''s Eve party in Sydney, Australia, however, its doubtful that they would get 500,000 dollars, the amount paid for Las Vegas venture last year, reports the New York Post.

Charlie Sheen''s ex, Denise Richards, will apparently pocket more than five figures to host New Year''s at Prive in Vegas, now that her reality show "It''s Complicated," is unlikely to be renewed.

New York, Dec 12 : It seems that no one wants to pay for photos of Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's baby boy Bronx Mowgli.

According to the sources, the couple has approached every single celebrity magazine with the offer to sell the first pics of their newborn, but the efforts seems to have gone in vain.

"Pete and Ashlee have approached every single celebrity magazine with offers to sell their first photos, but nobody wants them," the New York Post quoted a celebrity weekly insider as saying.

"Covers of them tend not to sell well," the insider added.

However, Simpson's rep has denied any such reports.

Dubai  - The fifth edition of the Dubai International Film Festival began late Thursday with the screening of US filmmaker Oliver Stone's biopic W.

The `Chain Reaction' actor wants his fans to know that the remake of the 1951 cult classic is not just any sci-fi flick, as it has a very deep meaning to it, reports China Daily.

"It''s about the world we live in and the destructive nature of man, so it gives you a lot to think about. It''s very timely," Reeves said.

Washington, Dec 11 : Pop star Nicole Scherzinger has revealed that she has invested a lot in her relationship with sportstar Lewis Hamilton, and is convinced that they will marry.

The Pussycat Dolls band member, who has been dating Hamilton since last year, declared her intention of marrying the Formula 1 ace, saying: "Well, everybody wants that in the future."

The `Never Dream Alone' hitmaker revealed that her baby Bronx Mowgli is the best part of her day, as he makes her laugh and smile at the same time, reports China Daily.

"Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru. Bronx makes me laugh and smile every day," Ashlee wrote on her MySpace Celebrity Blog.

Although Simpson gave birth to Bronx on November 20, 2008, she has already been on few outings.
