Kim KardashianNew York, Feb 25 : American socialite Kim Kardashian has apologized for posting photos of her new pet chimp, Suzy, on her Web site on the same day a crazed chimp attacked a Connecticut woman.

Kardashian, 28, acceded that it was very insensitive of her to have revealed her new playmate on February 20, the same day Charla Nash was mauled by another chimp.

“I understand my timing was not appropriate and it was insensitive of me,” the New York Daily News quoted her as having written on her blog.

Washington, February 25 : Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman says that he realised that his decision to adopt children of mixed race was a "no brainer", when he found that very few people would like to take care of multi-racial kids.

He and his actress wife Deborra-Lee Furness could not conceive biologically for years before adopting Oscar Maximilian, eight, and Ava Eliot, three.

He credited bosses at an adoption agency for making the challenging decision easier for him and Furness, whom he married in 1996, by telling them which children might struggle to find a good home.

Kate Moss’ pics by Banksy fail to sellLondon, Feb 25 : Pictures of supermodel Kate Moss by well-known Brit graffiti artist Banksy, which were expected to fetch 150,000 pounds, have failed to sell.

The six prints of Moss, inspired by Andy Warhol''s iconic image of Marilyn Monroe, were part of 78 lots being offered in London.

The screen prints were produced in a limited run of 20 sets, but because most were sold individually, complete sets are scarce.

They were featured alongside other Banksy works as part of Bonhams auction house''s Urban Art Sale.

Simon Cowell stands to lose £15M due to recession

Simon CowellLondon, Feb 25 : It seems even ‘The X Factor’ boss Simon Cowell cannot escape the economic downturn, with a property venture of his in Barbados believed to be on the verge of closing down.

Cowell had put 15 million pounds on a villa on the island’s proposed 280 million pounds Clearwater Bay development, which will also feature a five-star hotel.

But as of last week, construction has been halted on the project, with a “strategic review” being done on it.
