‘Gears of War and Dishonored’ Ready for Makeover

The Brazilian Advisory Rating System website has listed two more last generation remakes; Gears Of War: Ultimate Edition and Dishonored: Definitive Edition, confirming the games on Xbox One.

An Xbox One version of the first Gears Of War which has been rumored for months now is expected to release on Christmas.

The games are expected to be announced by Microsoft at E3 next month. Microsoft would be holding a press conference this year at GamesCom. to make the big announcements of the upcoming games.

The age rating boards of the world are a reliable source of information on upcoming games. The Brazilian board, however, does not provide a comprehensive report. It does not list any formats for these upcoming games and you are left to assume that it would be for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, since the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have already had a Game of the Year Edition.

This latest edition of Gears of War could be called the Gears of War; Ultimate Edition. It is developed by Microsoft and it is listed on the Brazilian Government's website for a 2015 release. This surely is an indication that the game is actually coming.

The Gears of War has been critically adjudged as just a remake of the very first game being up scaled to 1080p and 60fps for the Xbox One. Also, other critics have claimed that the package will merely contain a bundle of the first three Gears of War games from the Xbox 360, much similar to what Microsoft did with Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One. There are also suspicions over the ability of Microsoft to deliver Gears of War: The Ultimate Edition with the multiplayer properly intact.

Nonetheless, the strategy of releasing a remake seems to be lucrative option to make easy money with considerably lesser effort.
