Frozen, directed by Shivajee Chandrabhushan, repeats the age-old story of poor father under debt, surrounded by money-lenders who lust after his beautiful daughter. Danny Denzongpa is the aging father, Karma, in the movie. Skalzang Aungchuk plays the role of his young son Chomo. Gauri is Lasya, beautiful daughter of Karma. The whole story revolves around this family and their struggle to survive in Ladakh.

The crisis in the movie happens when Karma is not able to do business. Then Army sets up a camp right outside his house, making it impossible to sell off his land for money. Karma is in dilemma, he has to choose between selling his daughter to free his son and himself from debt or to continuously struggle.

Danny known for his bad boy act in movies has done well as a poor, religious and soft spoken father. Gauri has also acted well.
