Paris  - France and Kuwait want to work more closely together in military matters and will sign a cooperation agreement to that end later Wednesday in Paris, the French Defence Ministry said.

The agreement will reinforce cooperation in the exchange of information and the training and equipping of the two armed forces, the ministry said in a press statement.

The signing will take place during talks between French Defence Minister Herve Morin and his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jabir Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah.(dpa)
