Ford to launch special edition fiesta to celebrate 100 years in Britain
Ford is celebrating of being in the UK for one hundred years by launch a a limited-edition version Ford Fiesta named, the Centura.
The limited edition Centura is based on the 1.25-litre version of the manufacturer’s Fiesta Zetec model and is powered by 81bhp petrol engine. The new version will come in three as well as five door variants.
The model features boasts metallic black paint, chrome mirror and door caps and LED daylight-running lights. The buyers can also choose to get 16-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels, automatic headlamps and windscreen wipers, reverse parking sensors and a parking camera mounted in the rear-view mirror.
Centura will only be available in black, to honor of the Model T model of the company, which was only available in that color and holds the tile of being the first car to eb produced by Ford in the UK.
Marketing director for Ford of Britain, Anthony Ireson claimed “The Fiesta has been a UK favourite its entire lifetime, and it was a natural choice, who knows, it might even become a collectors car one day!”
The company will only offer 1000 units of the special edition car. Centura will be launched by the end of August.
