Ford India names Joginder Singh as new President & MD
Ford Motor India has announced that Joginder Singh will take over outgoing president and managing director Michael Boneham's responsibilities effective 1st of December, 2012.
Ford India's current president and managing director Boneham has elected to retire effective December 31, 2012, following a successful career spanning more than 27 years.
Boneham had started his career as a human resource officer in Ford Australia, moved on working in manufacturing and GM roles in the company's European, North American and Asia Pacific businesses. In India, he had started at Ford's Chennai facility as the Executive Director (manufacturing), and gradually moved on to lead Ford India as President and MD.
Joginder Singh, who is currently serving the company as president and managing director of Ford Business Services Center in Chennai, will now be based at Ford India's corporate office at Delhi.
Mr. Singh will report directly to Joe Hinrichs, President of Ford-Asia Pacific & Africa.
David Dubensky, who will succeed Mr. Singh, will now shoulder responsibility for US-based auto giant's Global Business Services operations. Dubensky's new responsibility will be effective from 1st of November, 2012.
