Gangtok: On Monday night, Prashant Tamang, the winner of Indian Idol-3, has delighted viewers by playing well-liked Hindi songs at a splendid occasion held in his honor at the Paljor stadium at which the chief minister Pawan Kumar Chamgling launched Prashant’s first audio cassette.

A big crowd of men, women and children, cheered heartily for their favorite rising star who sung super hit songs of popular movies at the occasion held to congratulate him for bringing esteem among people of Darjeeling and Sikkim by winning the Indian Idol-3 contest.

The music buffs also showered their blessings for another potential singer Charu Silwal, who took turn with Prashant Tamang in entertaining the assembled spectators at the splendid musical night.

Earlier, Mr. Pawan Kumar released the first music album of Tamang and showered praise on him for his success.

On his part Prashant gave big thanks the citizens of Sikkim and also the rest of the Himalayan region for voting for him in large numbers that made him the winner of the contest.
