Firing at Karachi election rally claims one life
Karachi, Feb 14: At least one person was killed and ten others wounded in firing at an election rally in Karachi late last night.
Sources said that condition of three of the injured was critical.
A Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Amir Shah said that armed men opened fire over his late night election rally in Shah Faisal Colony.
“A worker Qaisar was killed and seven others were wounded and admitted at Jinnah Hospital,” The News quoted Amir Shah, a saying.
In another incident, gunmen opened fire at an election rally near Soofi Hotel in Lea Market, candidate Habib Khan said.
“Three persons were wounded in the incident. An injured Amir Malik, who is admitted in the Civil Hospital, is in critical state,” the candidate said.
An accused Faizan was caught and handed over to local police. (ANI)
