Fiat-Tata Venture Comes to an End
According to a recent revelation made by Fiat, their cars shall no longer be sold under the same roof as Tata cars. The cars from both the firms were previously being sold under the same joint venture. They are now breaking out of the league and shall no longer sell their cars together. There shall be the establishment of new showrooms in 20 cities of the country and their cars shall be sold from there.
The President of Fiat India, Mr. Rajeev Kapoor revealed in a statement that the same dealers that were involved in their joint venture with Tata motors shall now help them in setting up their own separate showrooms.
He also said that there shall be a number of other campaigns launched for the further promotion of their brand. They shall even launch cafes in Delhi and Pune as a promotion stunt. The reason for the split in the joint venture wasn’t very clear but was assumed to be the falling brand value of Fiat in the recent times.
It s a matter of time to see how these two firms shall now manage to function as separate individuals against each other. In this world of cut-throat competition, it remains unpredictable that shall benefit with the move.
