Ericsson set to grab multimillion dollar GSM rollout contract from Swan TelecomOne of the largest companies of Sweden – Ericsson is all set to grab a multimillion dollar GSM rollout contract from Swan Telecom. The Business Line has reported that Ericsson is set to get the contract for rolling out cellular network for Swan Telecom.

According to the report, Swan Telecom is expected to give the contract for the network rollout to two companies, and Ericsson will be one of the two companies; Ericsson will certainly get the part of the Swan contract.   

The Kista, Sweden based Ericsson is the leading provider of telecommunication & data communication systems and related services including especially mobile networks. Ericsson is known for network rollout of incumbent operators such as Airtel, Vodafone Essar.

According to Business Line, Swan Telecom, which received licenses in 2008, is the new player in the telecommunication arena. The company is expected to inject $4 billion in its cellular network. The Swan contract is likely to include managed services as well.
