Emirates accused of telling “fairy tales”

Calin-RovinescuYesterday, the Emirates Airline was accused by Calin Rovinescu, Air Canada's chief executive of telling "fairy tales" about the economic benefits greater access would create in Canada, which only led to a rise to the fight to limit Emirates Airline's access to the Canadian market.

If explained in simple words, then the market between Canada and the UAE has not established to an extent where more capacity is assured.

Mr. Rovinescu said, "There are already more airline seats being flown between Dubai and Canada than there are people to fill them."

However, Emirates has been thriving for greater access to the Canadian market in recent years. If federal laws are considered then it is restricted to sharing six flights a week with Abu Dhabi carrier, Etihad Airways.

Mr. Rovinescu concluded that Emirates mulls to fly passengers via its base in Dubai en route to destinations in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
