East Timor shaken by undersea earthquake
Jakarta, April 19 : East Timor was affected on Saturday by an undersea quake that reportedly measured 6.4 on the Richter scale.
Reports reaching the Indonesian capital said several buildings in East Timor capital, Dili shook, but there were no reports of damage.
Indonesian meteorological agency officials were quoted as saying that the epicentre of the quake was about 80 km northeast of Dili and at a depth of about 10 km. No tsunami warning was issued.
East Timor lies in the so-called Pacific Ring of Fire where earthquakes are said to be frequent. (ANI)
