DMRC conducts special training programme for RMGL staffThe Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is conducting a special training programme to impart lessons to its personnel on working of Metro.

The seventeen-week intensive training, where fresh recruiters of the Rapid Metrorail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL) will get direct account of the working of Metro, will start on Monday, Sep. 17.

The RMGL link, which will serve commuters travelling from the capital to cyber city/NH-8 or other parts of Gurgaon, will likely start operating from April next year.

A spokesperson for the RMGL said that the special training modules had been designed and created to go well with the necessities of the Rapid Metro service.

Providing details of the training programme, the spokesperson said, "They will learn how to start the train, accelerate, slow down, apply brakes, open and close the doors, communication within the train, handle emergency situations and passenger evacuation."

The spokesperson added that that the trainees would also learn how man and machine interacts within the train operator's cab.

Rapid Metro will likely move one lakh passengers between destinations. In the second phase, the network will be extended to Udyog Vihar, Sector-55 and Sector-56.
