Leading packaging firm Uflex Ltd will set up a plant in Wrzesnia in Poland with an investment of $80 million (around Rs 360 crore), which is expected to be operationalised in June 2012. The new plant will have a capacity of about 30,000 tonnes.

Coal India (CIL), the world's largest coal producer, may buy up to a 15% stake in US-based Peabody Energy Corp's Australian assets early next fiscal for an estimated $100 million (about Rs 450 crore).

Elecon Engineering Company has received orders worth Rs 82 crore from Tecpro Systems and Adani Murmugao Port Terminal to design, manufacture and supply quipments. The Gujarat-based firm has received Rs 64.45 crore order from Tecpro Systems for supply of spares for coal handling plant, the company said in a statement.

Fast-food chain operator Jubilant Foodworks Ltd is close to tying up a deal with a global food retailer, and is also moving ahead with expansion plans for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The company runs the popular Dominos Pizza chain in India.
