Crystal released her album on December 14, instead of trying to get the capture of the Black Friday shopping spree. Most Idol contestants release their albums in November but the young single mom from Ohio decided to come out with an album, which will talk about who she is as a person.

Talking about the album, Crystal said that it is the story of her life that includes both good and bad chapters. There is honesty in it and she hopes that people would appreciate that as the album is like an open diary of her life. Well, going by the sales number of her album this small town girl has been appreciated by USA and she surely has come a long way.

Starting her career in the subway tunnels and local bars in Ohio, Crystal Bowersox has now become the artist of the week after touring the country with Top 10 Idols and releasing her own album 'Farmer's Daughter'.
